Verdis was the prime contractor and self-performed project management, project superintendent and contractor quality control. This project consisted of removing two existing trolley pipes and installing two new trolley pipes located on the spillway at Piers 2 and 3. This project was completed using a 60-by-40-foot flex-i-float barge system with a 65-ton crane set-up ont he barge and a five-man dive crew. The existing trolley pipes were removed and segmented to be transported to the local landfill for recycling. The new trolley pipes were fabricated and painted off-site and delivered by log truck. The two trolley pipes were attached using 36, 3/4″ anchors, utilizing the barge-mounted crane and the dive crew. Verdis was responsible for collecting, formatting, reviewing and submitting all project submittals to the Army Corps of Engineers using RMS 3.0. Verdis also coordinated material fabrication and other logistics throughout the entire project.
