Verdis was the prime contractor and self-performed design, project management, site superintendence and construction services for the replacement of a new HDPE liner for Cell #4 of the sewage lagoon system at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. On-site work included dewatering, sludge removal, clearing/grubbing, scarifying and compacting of the existing bentonite liner, and the installation of a new HDPE liner. The new liner was approximately 3.5 acres in surface area. Permitting requirements included permitting through the Utah Department of Environmental Quality (UDEQ). Additional work consisted of removing and upgrading/replacing of the sewer lines and installation of new two-way cleanouts for the Mission 66 housing area.
