Structural Repairs to B8517, People Center

Verdis was hired for the repair and reinforcement of a 100,000-square-foot office building damaged during the 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Anchorage, Alaska. Repairs included metal stud strongback walls and fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) to reinforce walls, reducing the government budget estimate by 40 percent. Bathrooms, flooring ceilings, drywall, paint and finishes were repaired or replaced. Design included structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering.
